(World Business Council for Sustainable Development, 2014).  This paper provides an overview of the main challenges and projections for agricultural products, e.g., 60% increase in food demand by 2050 and threefold increase in biofuel demand by 2050, as a result of population growth and changing consumption patterns. Main implications include a 4.5% increase in arable land by 2050 and an 18% reduction in water available for agriculture which may result in increased water competition, among others.
