The International Infrastructure Support System (IISS), a free online tool that helps national and local governments prepare infrastructure projects to better secure financing and expertise, is now available in Bahasa Indonesia and Mongolian. Before this, the platform has been available in English, Arabic, Portuguese and Spanish.
Andrew McIntyre, ADB's Senior Urban Development Specialist, wrote that around 50 projects worth $15 billion are currently registered on the system, which uses templates to ensure government officials provide the necessary technical and preparatory information that financiers need to assess both public and private projects.
He added that 12 more languages, including Mandarin, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Vietnamese, German and Italian, are set to follow by 2020.
IISS can be accessed using the following link: www.sif-iiss.org.
