The Asian Development Bank greatly supports women empowerment in its quest to fight poverty in the region.
In order to address this, the Asia Women’s Leaders Program was established in 2014 to provide a series of capacity building activities to potential women leaders in Asia.
The 3-day program was held in Seoul, Republic of Korea and was attended by 28 participants across 16 countries. The participants were subjected to various training activities in the areas of communications, confidence building and negotiations.
Another training program will be held this year following the successful milestone of this Gender and Development activity.
